Revenge, And Retaliation
Never take your own revenge, beloved, but leave room for the wrath of God, for it is written, “VENGEANCE IS MINE, I WILL REPAY,” says the Lord.
So the LORD said to him, “Therefore whoever kills Cain, vengeance will be taken on him sevenfold.”
And the LORD appointed a sign for Cain, so that no one finding him would slay him. Leviticus 19:18
`You shall not take vengeance, nor bear any grudge against the sons of your people, but you shall love your neighbor as yourself; I am the LORD. Deuteronomy 32:35
`Vengeance is Mine, and retribution, In due time their foot will slip; For the day of their calamity is near, And the impending things are hastening upon them.’
Do not say, “I will repay evil”; Wait for the LORD, and He will save you.
As when a man goes into the forest with his friend to cut wood, and his hand swings the axe to cut down the tree, and the iron head slips off the handle and strikes his friend so that he dies–he may flee to one of these cities and live; otherwise the avenger of blood might pursue the manslayer in the heat of his anger, and overtake him, because the way is long, and take his life, though he was not deserving of death, since he had not hated him previously. “Therefore, I command you, saying, `You shall set aside three cities for yourself.’ Deuteronomy 23:7

Never pay back evil for evil to anyone. Respect what is right in the sight of all men.

not returning evil for evil or insult for insult, but giving a blessing instead; for you were called for the very purpose that you might inherit a blessing.
